文字裡，我的世界

　　上一篇文章提到這陣子一聽再聽的Indie Rock專輯，覺得應該要稍微介紹一下。 　　（獨立唱片的專輯封面都好迷人） the Sleeping Years　《We're Becoming Islands One by One》 　　Vocals是最有特色的地方。整張專輯感覺是標準英倫的沉靜冷鬱，在主唱Dale Grundle聲音的引導下，融雜了頹廢、失意之感（但底下這首You and Me Against the World卻滿載著希望）。 　　Dale Grundle最神奇的地方是，他不僅是主唱與作曲者，還負責樂團的吉他、貝斯、鋼琴、編曲……這些樂器我沒學過，不知他是否博而不精，但還是很佩服啊。 the sleeping years – you and me against the world [Lyrics] From the harbour hill to where the crescent curls, the black water swell, the turning of the world. Strung lights and drunken sounds glimmer at the edges of your town. We were hiding for so long with everyone else all trying to hold on but that time has gone now - it’s you and me against the… (It’s a) bleak light to figure in, our hands thrown up against the wind like mottled masts and lightning bolts, we’ll call up storms to take us far from home. We’ve been running for so long from jaded hearts and broken love all waiting for the ground to open up, well it’s you and me against the… They’re down on us again, trying to keep us apart but we’ll refuse to give in for this is it; something we can win - this time. And they’re frozen in this light while they’re marking time for their fears shape them all until they’re rooted to the ground. We’ve been trying for so long just to be ourselves, to be left alone, well if everyone is getting slow then it’s you and me against the world. Aereogramme　《My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go》 　　在上次Sunday那篇就撥過一首它們的歌，這次的Barriers則呈現另一種不同風貌的Aereogramme（它們曲風實在很多變），這首歌稍微偏流行了一點，但MV和歌詞都意寓深遠。 [lyrics] I thought the fight was over All battles won I thought you'd lit your blindfolds Watch them burn I thought that I could show you All that I've found But barriers dictate all sight and all sound I found love in the loneliest places Places I shouldn't have found I found love in the home of a sinner Wrapped in some bitter sweet song Let me tell the truth Let me come alive Let me build bridges into your life I'm sick of being torn Again and again I don't need permission to let you in You noticed how we talk and how We play our games Leather bound appeal to Change our ways All I wanted was to show you All that I've found No exits, no answers, no prophecy bound But I found love in the loneliest places Places I shouldn't have found I found love in the home of a sinner Wrapped in some bitter sweet song Oh, let me tell the truth And let me come alive Let me build bridges into your life I'm sick of being torn again and again I don't need conditions to let you in I never meant to hurt you or Drive you away The barriers we've built, looks like there Here to stay Sambassadeur使節樂團 《Sambassadeur》 　　Sambassadeur的音樂，或許可以扭轉一般New Age等輕音樂聽眾對搖滾的印象。這些曲目有搖滾樂的輕快活潑，同時又毫無壓力。不需要嘶吼或熱血沸騰，搖滾樂也能找到放鬆。（Sambassadeur慣用的電子元素，倒和New Age有異曲同工之妙） 　　《Sambassadeur》和《Migration》都是很優秀的作品，有很多絕佳的曲目諸如Ice & Snow、New Moon、The Park。 Sambassadeur – Between the Lines [lyrics] The tambourines are shaking but I don’t hear a sound It’s my favorite song but I don’t like the crowd Wish I was able to see what you see Turn all the words into poetry So I close my eyes I’m focused on whatever’s spinning in my mind And I try to find a sign But I never learn to read between the lines I know that sometimes my eyes are too blue But I am still counting on the stars for a clue Wish I was able to see what you see I don’t want it all to be chemistry Voxtrot　《Voxtrot》 　　Voxtrot就比較接近大家所熟知的美國樂團了（的確是美國團），曲風也更為相似，卻依然有其獨特性。Real Life Version則是和他們一般曲風差異甚遠，不太搖滾，甚至有些庸俗，卻仍極為好聽迷人的一首，緩慢的鋼琴曲。 Voxtrot　- [Lyrics] Love, spread out like seeds Somebody walked away from landscape poverty I came to find you I came to see the beauty underway That bloomed love, energy And it turns around like you And it turns around like me Into something new But the only thing I see I see you, I see you I see you, always struggling To find some gentle song Some mode of simple trust and ways to understand These reaching orchards Of broken fame Grown deep inside of us By forced and troubled hands I see you, I see you I see you, always struggling I see you, I see you I see you, always struggling To find the sun Reaching down through shadowed brush (?)
